Placemat #1

WOO HOO!! Halfway through placemat #1! :D

I seem to be having a problem keeping the tension on the warp. It's either the brakes are slipping or I didn't do the warp properly.

Thankful for:
1. A week off.
2. Continuous Christmas music playing on satellite sations.
3. A warm and toasty fireplace.

PS...the previous post was deleted due to me not paying attention to what I was doing.

Regarding warp, I remember sticks between the layers of warp on the roller. The individual threads can slip between other threads and therefore not maintain an even tension. If you don't have sticks, like yardsticks, try heavy brown paper or poster board cut into strips.
And if you're already doing something of this type, I'm of no use to you.

BTW, I forgot to say that I think the mat looks great. Nice herringbone and lovely vivid colours.

Wow - love the placemats. So much since Wednesday, It is really important to make sure that when you tie your warp on that it is very similar in tension. But slippage can happen just because
